Moving Forward with Intention
I am a licensed psychologist with over nine years of therapy experience. I previously earned my B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Delaware. Following my undergraduate education, I earned my M.S.Ed. in Learning and Developmental Sciences and my Ph.D. in School Psychology from Indiana University-Bloomington. At Indiana University, I gained experience in therapy and assessments in multiple treatment settings, including Riley Hospital for Children, Madison Juvenile Correctional Facility, community mental health centers, and schools. I completed my predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Boys Town Center for Behavioral Health in Boys Town, Nebraska. In 2016, I decided to move to Washington D.C., where a satellite Boys Town Behavioral Health Clinic was located. During my time at Boys Town Washington D.C., I provided psychological services to children, teenagers, young adults, and families. I also had the opportunity to assume a clinic manager role during my time at Boys Town Washington D.C. In 2022, my family and I decided to relocate to my hometown of Milwaukee, WI, where I provided telehealth services for Boys Town. At that time, I focused on developing collaborative relationships with pediatricians in Northern Virginia. I believe pediatricians play a vital role in the ability of clients to access behavioral health services. I am very excited to bring all of my experiences to Kavana Behavioral Health.
I conduct individual therapy, family therapy, and parent coaching. Below, you will find information about my experience and expertise treating an array of presenting concerns.
